Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement AgenciesThe Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) conducted the Police Department’s fifth on site assessment review on August 7-10, 2016 for compliance with 488 performance standards. No issues or problems were detected, no violations of standards were found and no corrections or amendments were required. Less then 10% of participating agencies achieve this goal. On November 5, 2016 the CALEA Commission voted to award the Department it's fourth Advanced Re-Accreditation following initial accreditation in 2004. |
