Summer Camps


Kids will be supervised at play during this extended day. Gym shoes are required in the gym (no cleats).

Sports, arts and crafts, games, ice skating, swimming, and so much more! Campers will swim daily, so don't forget your swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. Come have a great time with us as we do age-appropriate activities in this half-day camp. We’ll play games, sing songs, take nature walks, talk about safety, make crafts, eat snacks, and have a few other surprises. Embark on an around-the-world cultural adventure - explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to the Ivory Coast, from the cosmopolitan to the countryside. Experiment with Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. Make a different masterpiece each day, including a dot art canvas, a mini Pakistani bus, a mud art painting on fabric, and an imperial Russian egg! Bring the unique creations home and build a globally-inspired art gallery.

Do you have what it takes to be on a Spirit Team? Join us for a week of chants, cheers, and stunts!  Campers will learn such skills as partner stunting, partner building, as well as a dance choreography and much more. Dance/Cheer Camp will be directed by the Dance Coach from Webster Groves High School, Gwendolyn Harris and her dancers. Campers will need to bring a non-perishable lunch, water bottle, and comfortable shoes daily.

Vocal Camp for High School Singers offers exciting, fun-filled experiences to help young singers hone their vocal, acting, and movement skills. Campers will learn about the life of a professional singer through daily private voice lessons, individual attention in master classes, and conversations with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis’ renowned artists and music staff, while gaining hands-on experience in stage movement, acting and improvisation, stage makeup and more! Campers will attend a live performance of Carmen before concluding the week with their own recital and fully-staged opera scene performance.

Introduce your child to the magic of opera through hands-on experiences in singing, writing, composing, and making instruments, supervised by OTSL professionals and leading music educators! In addition, campers will also learn about costuming, makeup, lighting, and set design — all the things that go into Opera Theatre’s internationally acclaimed productions! Camp tuition includes one ticket per student for a live performance of Carmen, brought to life by Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and members of the renowned St. Louis Symphony. The week of camp will finish with a “sharing session” for friends and families on the last day.

The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles as we construct the Ewok Village on Endor, fly through space on our X-Wings, and defend the Echo Base on Hoth. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire!

The Force is strong in this advanced engineering course for young Jedi! Use the force to raise your X-Wing from the Dagobah swamp, challenge the AT-AT walkers on Hoth, and fly the Millennium Falcon through the Kessel Run. Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture while you explore a galaxy, far, far away.

Each day will include a variety of activities that will incorporate baseball, softball, wiffle ball, kickball, and so much more. Webster and several other municipalities are working together to bring you this outdoor adventure camp! Climb 100’ tall oak trees, zip lines, practice archery, and much more at Camp Wyman with their highly-trained facilitators. Bus pick up will be at The Lodge in Des Peres at 9:15 a.m. Camper will return to The Lodge at 3:45 p.m. Please pack a non-perishable lunch and water bottled daily.

Join us as we jump around to different pools in our area! This camp consists of field trips to different Aquatic Centers around St. Louis! Drama and art team up for this fun fine arts camp. Youth receive basic instruction in creative dramatics, scripting, beginning improvisation, set design and construction using various arts and crafts media. Camp is directed by Bill Sharpe, MA in theater from the University of Michigan and instructor/founder of the Webster Groves Youth Theatre and The Stage Company. All projects will come together in a play for participants' families on Friday evening (youth must have completed kindergarten).

Could your children be safer at home, school, and play? This camp teaches young children how to be safer through songs, coloring books, movies, and other activities. Topics include summer, pedestrian, water and fire safety (including a trip to the WG firehouse), safety on wheels, stranger awareness, and what to do when lost. Junior counselors ages 12 and older are needed; apply at The Rec. Please pack a non-perishable lunch and water bottle daily.
